I started this page in 2010 as a creative outlet and as a way to share my loving of baking with my family, friends, and you. Baking is one of my hobbies and passions, and I enjoy sharing the things that I've learned with others. I'm also an avid reader, and find myself reading other food blogs quite often. I love to write and take pictures as well- so starting my own blog gives me the opportunity to use my creativity on a more regular basis!
About me..
I'm a 30-something single mom living in East Central Florida with my son Ben (self named "The Cooker Boy") and our two black cats, Pepper and Shadow. I have a career that I love- I'm a Registered Respiratory Therapist in one of the local hospitals. I work mostly in Critical Care or Birth Care- two of the areas I love most in the hospital.
I enjoy experimenting with new (and old) recipes in my kitchen, especially baked goods. I also enjoy music (my TV is turned to the Music Choice Showtunes channel when I cook)- I've played the piano for 25 years now, the cello for almost as long, and while I don't have the best voice in the world, I can sing along to most of the tunes on the aforementioned channel!
My hopes for this blog..
I read many blogs, and have gotten most of my favorite cake recipes from other bloggers. I hope to one day be a resource for other home cooks. I'm hoping to meet other food bloggers and learn from them. I'd love to turn my baking into a part time business one day in the future, so I'm hoping this will be an avenue that leads me in that direction!
